Aleksandra Aleksandrović

Aleksandra's Journey

Parallel to primary school, Aleksandra Aleksandrović attended Isidor Bajić junior music school in Novi Sad where she played the accordion. Later, she moved from Titel to Novi Sad with her family and began a new chapter of her life. She enrolled in a secondary music school where she majored in associate music. Her main instrument became the piano, and she continued to play the accordion in the orchestra and also sang in the choir of the music school. After finishing school, she entered the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and majored in ethnomusicology under Prof. Dr. Nice Fracile. She plays the prim tambourine in the tambourine orchestra within this field of study.

After completing her Bachelor's degree, she enrolled in a Master's programme in Applied Theatre at the University of Applied Sciences in Bergen (HVL), Norway.

She went to Thessaloniki for Erasmus student  internship  and during 3 months, she gave lectures in English to students in different fields:

- The role of music in audiovisual works,
- Psychology of Music (Music for Children),
- Creating a report - from interviews to editing, and how to recognise fake news.

Additionally, she also organised various festivals with others students.

Aleksandra also composes

Aleksandra also composes. She won the first prize for the original music of children's stories on the children's programme Radio Belgrade 1. Some of her compositions are:  Autumn travellers-  life of spiders, Travelling of soul, For us, My dream, Dance of lights, Left - right, Darko's Game... as well as Variations on the  traditional Roma theme Shimijako bi porjako.
